A boutique sized (and cat loving) practice based in the heart of Brixton, seeks an experienced Architect to confidently run a number of high value projects, through from inception to completion.
Specialists in mid to high end residences, project locations include; the Home Counties, Hampshire, Cheshire, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bahrain, Nepal, the USA, the Isle of Man and the South of France. You will be joining a family run business, where the team consist of 3 light hearted and fun designers and 4 lazy, but loving cats.
Role & Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Directors on project progress
- Running mid - high end residential project yourself with your small team (usually 2-3 projects at one time)
- Help manage and mentor more junior team members
- Full job running responsibilities through RIBA project stages 1-7
- Liaison with contractors and clients
- Ensuring work is produced and delivered to a high standard and meeting tight deadlines
Required Skills & Experience
- Progress projects through all RIBA work stages, often involving listed historic buildings
- Have comprehensive knowledge and enthusiasm for both contemporary and classical detailing and technique
- Confident running a project from inception all the way through to completion
- Happy to work independently on projects with confidence
- Extensive coordination experience with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Be proficient in AutoCAD with outstanding design and technical capabilities
- Extremely technical with the ability to resolve architectural solutions
- Have client facing experience
- Able to work on multiple projects at one time
- Good knowledge of contract administration and procurement
- A love for external detailing
- Able to envision your professional growth within a small business
- A strong work ethic
- Friendly and personable
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
Salary & Package
£36,000 - £40,000 DOE + Statutory workplace pension
