Senior Architectural Technician /Technician For Award Winning Housing Developer - West Sussex

The Company was established 14 years ago who, due to careful planning and management, are now a major strategic land owner. By joining the technical team, you will be working closely alongside the planning, design, building and sales teams. With a sole focus on housing developments, projects vary in size from 7 to 600 homes. Due to an increase in current project sizes and continued success within the business, they are looking to introduce new Architectural Technicians to the team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working on the production of detailed working drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and details
- Produce, develop and review specifications -Liaise with, and input relevant information from other consultants and suppliers -Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines.
- Review technical information for best value engineered solutions and compliance with the specification and current standards.
Required Skills & Experience
-Proficient in the use of AutoCAD LT
-Possess good knowledge of residential construction methods, UK Building Regulations and NHBC Standards
-Suitably qualified to a relevant HNC, HND or Degree level
-Able to produce high quality work within project time frames
-A willingness to attend training courses and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
-To have good spoken and written communication skills
-Excellent detailing ability
-Be motivate and able to work as part of a team and independently as required
-To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks
-To hold a full clean driving licence
-A background of working for a residential developer or architectural practice would be advantageous for this role.
Salary & Package
This role offers a salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience, plus:
- Annual holiday allowance 26 days increasing to 27 after 3yrs service and 28 after 5yrs service (plus bank holidays)
