My client is based in Stevenage and was founded in the 1960’s, provide architecture, interior design, town planning and urban design services across the UK.
The practice has a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, student accommodation, industrial developments, leisure, education, public sector buildings and interior design.
Currently operating with a strong team of 17 and boasting good staff retention (in some cases over 30 years), the practice places great emphasis on designing high quality architecture.
With a healthy range of projects, the practice is looking for a bright and ambitious Part II Architectural Assistant to join the team.
Role & Responsibilities
Joining a design team of 12, you will work across a range of duties including the preparation of detailed housing layouts for volume house builders to high specification apartment blocks for leading regional developers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Part II Qualification with a minimum of 1 year’s office experience
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit
- SketchUp experience would be advantageous
- Strong design, technical and conceptual skills
- Ambitious with good organisational skills
- Residential project experience is essential, multi-disciplinary experience would be advantageous
Salary & Package
The practice offers a competitive salary of £25,000 – £34,000 and excellent opportunity for progression throughout the company.
The practice is based a short walk from the local cinema, restaurants and train station, offer a great office atmosphere and excellent career progression opportunities.
Additionally, on the social side they have two staff jollies a year – Christmas and summer. Most recently, the summer party saw the team have dinner and punting around Cambridge.
