Senior Project Architect/ Associate Architect - Stevenage, Hertfordshire

My client, based in Stevenage and founded in the 1960’s, provide architecture, interior design, town planning and urban design services across the UK.
The practice has a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential including student accommodation, industrial developments, leisure and education, public sector buildings and interior design.
Currently operating with a strong team of 17 and boasting good staff retention (in some cases over 30 years), the practice places great emphasis on designing high quality architecture.
With a healthy range of projects, the practice is looking to the future and is ideally looking to bring into the team someone who can take a leading role within the practice and has the ambition to propel the company forward.
Role & Responsibilities
Joining a design team of 12, you will work across a range of duties including the preparation of detailed housing layouts for volume house builders to high specification apartment blocks for leading regional developers.
As the Senior Project Architect you will be leading projects from inception to completion and should be able to supervise assistants.
The right candidate will have particularly strong experience working on housing, but also education and commercial projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit
SketchUp experience would be advantageous
Able to efficiently manage projects
Strong design, technical and conceptual skills
Ambitious with good organisational skills
Residential project experience essential, multi-disciplinary experience advantageous ARB or RIBA Accreditation Essential
Salary & Package
The practice offers a competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000 and excellent opportunity for progression to associate and directorship level for the right candidate, company pension scheme and performance related bonus.
The practice, based a short walk from cinema, restaurants and the local train station, offer a great office atmosphere and excellent career progression opportunities.
