An experienced Capital Projects Officer is required to be responsible for the management, development and delivery of capital works projects from inception to completion, managing external consultants including cost managers, architects and engineers to ensure the professional delivery of capital schemes and other projects. The successful candidate will be required to coordinate the liaison with external clients and internal departments and manage a multi-disciplinary professional design team ensuring schemes are fit for purpose and meet all necessary legal and health and safety requirements. You will also be required to provide all documentation relating to projects and obtain, check and prepare estimates, monitoring and controlling budgets and funding levels for designated projects.

Candidates should be a member or probationer of a recognised professional institution (CIOB, RICS or ARB (RIBA)) and have substantial relevant experience. A working knowledge of building contracts, in particular the JCT family, thorough knowledge of CDM legislation and the ability to produce drawings using CAD (AutoCAD) is also essential for this role.

This position is permanent, full time for 36.25 hours per week worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. Applications for job share will be accepted.
