A collaborative design lead studio, with an office based in Rochford, in South East Essex are now seeking an experienced, talented and enthusiastic Project Architect to help grow the practice.
The company are a successful and rapidly growing architectural practice based in Essex with an additional office in London. Over the last 18 months their numbers have increased from two to seven altogether who specialise in residential schemes and commercial projects across the UK.
Typical projects range between £200,000 - £3million, with current projects ranging from bespoke, unique properties to larger scale mixed use developments of 100+ residential units and plenty more in the pipeline.
Their work encompasses major new build projects to private commissions across all methods of procurement. They are inspired by how good design can fundamentally improve the way people live and work, whether on a domestic scale or with larger commercial projects.
Role & Responsibilities
Successful candidates will have proven experience within a UK practice, preferably with residential projects, and an excellent knowledge of current building regulations. The position will require you to be confident in managing and running your own projects as well as working alongside other team members from conception through to completion. You will be required to liaise with clients and third parties throughout the life of the projects, including local authorities, consultants and contractors; as well as producing planning applications, working drawing packages and construction drawings, and seeing the projects to completion on site.
Required Skills & Experience
- ARB/RIBA Qualified Architect
- Minimum of 3 years' UK experience running UK projects from inception to completion
- Exceptional presentation skills and a passion for good design
- Experience of working, directly with the client, contractor and design team
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of Coral would be desirable but is not essential)
Salary & Package
The successful candidate will be offered a generous package, including a salary between £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience, plus a pension scheme and professional subscriptions paid for.
