Job Summary:

A leading Environmental Engineering consultancy is looking for a Principal CDM Consultant to be based in their Nottinghamshire office. You will work across the country throughout England, Wales and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland on occasion. You will assist in the role of PD during the design and construction period, liaising with clients and supporting junior members of staff. The role will involve regular design team meetings and site visits to review the management of health and safety.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The successful applicant will;

  • Act in the role of the principal designer during the design and construction period.
  • Work closely with clients and provide support and advice.
  • Review and comment on Contractors Health and Safety Plans.
  • Manage their own diary to meet the demands of the client and the project.
  • Have the ability to take responsibility, meet project deadlines and work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful applicant will;

  • Needs to have worked as CDM coordinator full time and have a NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Be fast, efficient and accurate with standard Microsoft software skills.
  • Ideally the candidate should come from a design background although consideration will be given to those of a construction background who demonstrate the right knowledge of the principles of design.
