The opportunity has arisen for a fast paced and ambitious Architectural Technician/Technologist to join an expanding property consultancy in Guildford. Founded over 100 years ago and with over 800 staff across their network of offices in the UK, the practice has built an enviable reputation in the field of high-end bespoke residential projects and private properties with values ranging from £250,000 up to £30million, and on site visits are greatly encouraged.
Role & Responsibilities
Having recently taken on a number of projects and with a significant pipeline of confirmed work our client is now looking to recruit an Architectural Technician to take a role in delivering projects from inception through to completion. The role will also have strong client facing element, whether accompanying a senior staff member or running projects independently. The successful candidate must be autonomous, and able to hit the ground running. My client looks to employ staff that wish to take on responsibility and ownership of projects. All team members are encouraged to offer ideas and influence projects, alongside the responsibility for leading, managing and mentoring a team or department. Candidates wishing to apply for this role must be AutoCAD literate with a residential background. Experience working with clients and external consultants are would be advantageous.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years UK experience Full understanding of UK building regulations Ideally be CIAT registered Proficient use of AutoCAD Ideally worked on high-end/residential projects Experience working on all RIBA stages Be a strong communicator with excellent presentation skills (written, spoken and drawn) Experience in the preparation of drawings and specifications for approval and issue
