Part II Architectural Assistant/Technician
Do you want to work for a practice with an extensive portfolio of projects and an interesting design ethos? Then this could be the role for you! My client is now looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant or Technician to join their practice in Altrincham.
My client, a small practice created five years ago and based in Cheshire, balance their architectural experience and enthusiasm with a company ethos which promotes bespoke, innovative creations to enhance the built environment.
The practice boasts an eclectic portfolio and extensive recent experience across a broad range of sectors and project values including;
Commercial – Office fit out and speculative feasibility studies.
Residential – High end private residential, social housing, large and small-scale apartments
Listed buildings – Historic buildings including grade II* listing
Leisure – Hotels, both up-scale boutique and budget, bars and restaurants
Community – New build and remodelled further education colleges, community centres and convention centres.
Due to continued growth and incoming projects, they are looking to recruit a Part II Architectural Assistant or an Architectural Technician to strengthen the growing team.
Role & Responsibilities
The practice requires a person ideally with a background in contemporary architecture of small to medium scale (£1m-£25m). The role will involve an understanding and capability to perform a high level of construction detailing, planning and building regulations, as well as production of construction information.
Required Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be design focused with strong supporting technical skills
Proficiency in MicroStation would be preferred but not essential
Able to work across a range of projects and scales
Salary & Package
The practice is offering a competitive salary of £23,000 – £30,000 depending on experience. They will also support employee’s through continuous CPD, mentoring and pay for professional memberships.
This practice is based not far from Altrincham station and close to all local amenities including gym, cafes, restaurants and shopping outlets, they get together regularly for social drinks and have a relaxed open plan office atmosphere. However, if you are a big fan of vinyl records, they boast a large collection and can be found listening to it regularly.
