Head of Architecture

£45,000 - £50,000

Nelson

Quite a different sort of organisation this one. Think Start Up; but with a huge amount of backing.

You're in the first UK office of what is essentially an international consultancy. They have a team of 8 in place on the Architecture Team, they have won a decent amount of work and they are tied to several local authorities to build social housing, education, health and community / cultural buildings long term. You may also be working on High Rise, Commercial , Residential.

It can't be said that there aren't opportunities right now in the more rural parts of Lancashire. The salary very much matches up. The responsibilities and the ambition is here within the organisation to take you places, including everywhere a 'dynamic' city practice can.

They need help to grow, to recruit, to manage resource. You will be hands on when it comes to projects, managing clients, assisting in bidding for work.

You may be have an Architect or Technician background. You will get the chance to design, and you will get the chance to deliver a range of projects from £2m - £15m in construction value from day one. Project values may grow from there.

You are enabling the transition of another senior staff member to a more full time business development role. Assistance with this is definitely desirable, but this may also be something new to you.

They are using a mixture of Revit & AutoCAD. Even at this stage the company is trying to be progressive with technology and is open to your ideas and the skill sets you can bring with you.

Do you match up? If you have experienced similar responsibilities you probably do! If you think you are ready for the above responsibilities, don't let that dissuade you.

Matt at Ardent Careers knows more. You need to drop him an email or give him a call if you're thinking about this role.
