The opportunity to join a studio with a portfolio boasting design and architecture projects for some of the most luxurious, international brands and names is now available in West London. If you are a highly creative individual with a proven track record working on luxury retail and even F&B projects who is looking for a step up in your career, this if the opportunity for you. This Associate/ Senior Associate role offers a salary range of £45,000 – £65,000, flexible working hours, life drawing lessons and yoga classes to name a few!

Blending fashion and function through their bespoke designs, this team of 26 are known for their ever-growing list of high-end retail clients around the globe. Their turn-key services have made it possible for them to develop projects in over 100 cities around the world, leaving their mark across most design fields; getting involved in interiors and architecture as well as in graphic and product design.

Currently working on projects ranging from 70sqm stores up to 200,000sqm shopping centres, they are looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join them as an Associate / Senior Associate.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Managing and motivating a team of Architects and Designers in delivering highly creative design solutions
  • Managing the creative and technical delivery for your allocated projects
  • Resourcing, budget management, performance management for your team
  • Developing and challenging design briefs
  • Overseeing quality control of work produced within the team
  • Highlighting resource needs and timings required to deliver the workflow
  • Participating in the growth of the company through the development and implementation of systems and mentorship

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in high-end retail design (boutiques & department store)
  • Previous experience working on F&B projects would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of retail programmes and functions
  • Ability to work on and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent people skills; management, couching and mentoring experience required
  • A knowledge and sense for top-end materials and finishes (specification & selection)
  • Solid understanding of the built environment
  • Ability to communicate ideas through sketches and drawings
  • Excellent technical ability, detailing, and specification writing
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • A strong knowledge of Rhino is preferred however, candidates without it might be considered as long as they tick all other boxes

Salary & Package

  • A salary ranging between £45,000 – £55,000 (Associate level) and £55,000 – £65,000 (Senior Associate level) fully dependent on experience
  • Opportunity to join the company pension scheme after completion of probationary period
  • 20 days holiday entitlement + bank holidays and Christmas closure period
  • Performance based annual bonuses (at the Directors’ discretion)
