The office is a 1920’s built boat house and serves as a fantastic meeting venue for their clients and creates a relaxed environment for its staff. Not the norm for office settings, the river setting almost creates a bubble of peace away from the hustle and bustle of busy London, meaning you can take a stroll along the shore or relax and eat lunch with a view (when the weather allows).
The practice is keen to invest its money and time on arranging regular events throughout the year for its staff. These are usually monthly events and range from casual lunches and trips to see local buildings of inspiration, to the slightly more daring likes of walking on the O2 roof and a 3 day sailing trip on the Isle of Wight. There is a summer party held in the boat house each year and a full day off for their Christmas party, which include a fantastic day of drinks and food galore.
The wellbeing of their staff is extremely important to them. They try to ensure everyone has some sort of flexibility to their working day and encourage a good work life balance.
Staff are closely involved in planning the future of the business. A structured career development plan supported by the Employee Benefit Trust has been developed, to encourage staff to take a proactive role in the long term management of the business.
