ARCHITECT

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for someone that is experienced and competent at all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work (residential and commercial projects) and can manage projects from inception through to completion.

You will be involved in initial client meetings, capturing the brief and project budget, producing initial sketches and feasibility proposals in accordance with the project brief and budget, advising clients, assisting in the preparation of fee structures, liaising with local planning and building control authorities, production of planning packages including relevant documentation, public consultations, committee meetings, liaising with other professionals and consultants, coordinating design information, undertaking site surveys and producing survey drawings, producing building regulation drawings and specifications, production of construction information and specifications, managing the tender process, Principal Designer (under CDM2015), checking design packages prior to issue, ensuring design packages are undertaken in accordance with the Quality Assurance Procedures, maintaining the project administration plan and undertaking contract administration.

As part of your role your professional subscriptions will be paid for by the company. You will be required to attend CPD events and the company will support you with your professional development. You will also assist and mentor more junior members of the team with the potential for progression through to team leader and associate directorship.

Must haves

  • ARB registered architect
  • RIBA registration (can follow)
  • 3-5 years post qualification experience
  • Experienced AutoCAD user
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively, methodically, diligently and to deadlines
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Detailed Knowledge of UK Building Regulations
  • Knowledge of UK planning policy
  • Ability to lead as well as work as part of a team and independently
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Nice to haves

  • BIM experience
  • InDesign
  • 3D visuals using SketchUp and rendering software
  • Photoshop
  • NBS Specification writing
  • SAP – OCDEA
  • Full UK Driving Licence

 

SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for someone that is experienced and competent at stages 3/4 to 7 of the RIBA Plan of Work (residential and commercial projects) and can undertake the project leader role to successfully deliver projects.

You will be involved in advising clients, assistance in the preparation of fee structures, liaising with local planning and building control authorities, liaising with other professionals and consultants, coordinating design information, undertaking site surveys and producing survey drawings, producing building regulation drawings and specifications, production of construction information and specifications, managing the tender process, Principal Designer (under CDM2015) checking design packages prior to issue, ensuring design packages are undertaken in accordance with the Quality Assurance Procedures, maintaining the project administration plan and undertaking contract administration.

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN/ PART 1 OR PART 2 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic architectural technician / part 1 or part 2 architectural assistant with experience in producing predominately residential (extension and new building dwellings) Building Regulation design information, who can assist more senior members as part of the design team in delivering projects across all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work and sectors.

You will be involved in advising and liaising with local planning and building control authorities, liaising with other professionals and consultants, participating in site surveys and producing survey drawings, producing building regulation drawings and specifications, assisting in the production of construction information and specifications.
