Position as Company Director
£55,000 Salary + Bonus in Shares - This is a great opportunity for an accomplished Architect to assume a Director position in an established and exciting chartered practice in Battersea, London. The company is restructuring and there is consequently a significant opportunity to become a stake holder in the company. The starting salary will be £55,000 with view to the employee acquiring significant shares in the company by way of an annual bonus once trust has been established and competency proven.

Ideally proven job winner – We require a candidate who can demonstrate an ability to meet with potential clients and convince them to use our services. This requires a dynamic personality, business acumen, articulate communication skills and a quick creative mind able to suggest design solutions on the spot. Will need to be able to deliver an attractive and polished presentation to would-be clients.
Experienced and creative designer – Must have an extensive degree of high-end London-based residential experience through all RIBA work stages including on-site Contract Administration. Experience should cover all scales of construction within the residential sector. It is critical the employee has mature and innovative design skills which will be demonstrable through their portfolio and references.
Will be expected to help the directors lead design innovation and direction within the practice. We would be looking for the initial role to grow over time as trust builds with consequential pay increases.
Management of day-to-day company obligations and activities - They will be expected to provide oversight for all projects in the practice and handle day-to-day issues that arise. Staff management experience is critical with excellent team building skills. They will also be directly managing their own higher level projects from inception to completion. Consequently the candidate will need to have worked in senior (associate / director) positions previously.
Develop and implement marketing strategies - We are a residential specialist company with the majority of our work currently consisting of private residential projects. We have recently started working on scheme for multi-unit developments which should provide a spring-board to engage with further such larger scale development in the future. It is important that the applicant would feel comfortable developing and implementing marketing strategies to help strengthen our position in this sector.
Other strengths required - Must be very thorough, responsible, diligent, proactive and quick to take initiative. An ability to engage with the diverse range of people involved in the design process, client satisfaction being paramount. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be proficient in hand-drawing and AutoCAD and Revit. Must be a good team player, sociable and easy to get along with.
