David Wilson Partnership is a well-established, award winning practice with offices in the South West and the Midlands.

2017/2018 are shaping up to be great years for us, with a full order book and prospects for the company to grow, we want to expand the team at our busy Barnstaple office on the beautiful North Devon coast. We are currently looking to recruit Architectural Technologists and Architectural Technicians at both junior and senior levels to join our team; CIAT membership is desirable.

Our workload includes healthcare and schools work, community projects, historic buildings and Landscape Architecture as well as commercial leisure projects. Ours is a pragmatic, people focused approach – we believe that responding to the needs of clients and users leads to great architecture.

The role will include all aspects of detailing both new build and refurbishment projects, liaising with the design team and integration of sub-consultants information, producing information required to make Planning and Building Regulations applications, carry out measured surveys of existing buildings and involvement with contract administration of live projects.

The ideal candidate(s) will be confident and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team managing their own workload effectively; they will be responsible to our Senior Architectural Technologist.  Post qualification experience is desirable whilst proficiency in a recognised CAD package and general IT skills is essential; we are currently using Vectorworks 2016.

Candidates will be expected to understand direct instructions as well as being able to communicate with the design team, statutory authorities and clients in clear written and spoken English.

We run regular in house CPD and encourage all of our team to take part in external training events. You can expect a competitive salary and the potential to progress within the business.  Candidates who wish to progress their career and experience to obtain Chartered Status in CIAT will be supported and encouraged.
