The London team have grown from 5 to 8 within the last 12 months, with their practice in Malta having grown to 10 staff. Each member of their team is welcomed in to their studio family and made to feel like part of the furniture. They are a relaxed company, with a heavy investment in staff development and reward.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the “number two” to the Managing Director
  • Manage the general running of the business in the absence of the Director
  • Take a leading role on a wide range of architectural and interior design projects for clients in the UK and Europe
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and liaise with internal and external team members, clients and third parties
  • Prepare complete packages of technical drawing information
  • To typically manage projects across all RIBA work stages

Required Skills & Experience

  • RIBA Part III qualified (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience post Part III qualification
  • Previous experience running projects through all RIBA stages
  • Thorough knowledge of UK building regulations and construction technology
  • Exceptional technical and construction detailing ability
  • A high level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of Maya, Grasshopper and Revit would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • A genuine interest in curvaceous and innovative design

Due to the level of client communication in this role, an extremely high level of written and spoken English is absolutely essential.

Salary & Package

The successful applicant will be offered a salary up to £50,000, in addition to the following benefits:

  • Annual staff trips abroad
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays
  • TOIL (although overtime is minimal)
  • Flexible working hours, within reason
  • An all-expenses paid 1 week trip away upon 3 years of employment
  • A round the world 1 month trip for 2 upon 5 years of employment
  • Fee/Profit share for business brought in to the practice

This position is offered on an initial 6 month probationary term, with a view to permanent employment if successful. The firm is rapidly expanding, and will provide the right candidate with an amazing opportunity to take on a huge amount of responsibility and progress in their career.
