Architect For Private Developer
An up and coming private property investment & development firm with a strong portfolio of residential schemes in progress; and a healthy looking pipeline of future projects. Established in 2015, this privately owned firm purchase property before developing it and selling it on. Typically, they will purchase freehold units and convert in to apartments, with each scheme ranging from 4 – 14 units and £500,000 – £5million in value.
Their portfolio consists of 7 live projects, with another 5 in the pipeline for this year so far. These are spread out across London and the surrounding areas, and include a conversion in Romford, 14 residential units in Croydon, and two further conversions in Stratton and Barnes.
Role & Responsibilities
Joining an easy going team of 7, you will be one of two Architects in the office. You will be required to work both autonomously and as part of a team to run projects like those above from inception to completion.
You will both produce and check technical drawings and details, manage teams of contractors on site and undertake contractual monitoring.
You will be managing individual projects and will need to utilise your project management skills, including keeping an overview of figures and budgets.
Required Skills & Experience
- Part III qualified and ARB Registered
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience post Part II
- Good skills throughout all RIBA stages
- Experience in producing tender and construction packages
- Experience in building contracts and contractual monitoring
- Demonstrable on-site experience and third party liaison skills
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and London Planning policies
- Proficient in either AutoCAD or Vectorworks
Salary & Package
The successful applicant will be offered a salary of up to £40,000.
Situated within a stone’s throw of Chancery Lane station, you would be working from beautiful offices within a team of Project Managers, Architects and Sales people. They are a very close knit team, all getting involved at every stage of every project to ensure the highest level of communication and teamwork.
