Objective of the role:

  • To support RRA design teams in the delivery of numerous projects by undertaking a range of architectural duties including the preparation of surveys, plans, specifications and drawings and to ensure the effective and timely delivery of those services
  • Assist the RRA management in practice management

Reporting to:  Directors; Associates; Project Architect; Job Architect; Office Manager

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Assist in implementing the work programme by managing specific tasks, as directed, within the fee allocation
  • Provide appropriate design solutions within agreed objectives and within the given timescales
  • Undertake organisation, preparation and implementation of all requested drawings and correspondence  connected with allocated projects
  • Undertake measured surveys of buildings and produce CAD plans ensuring accurate and up to date records
  • Contribute to the development of the design team and the practice, including recommending improvements to work practices, constructive problem solving and coaching other team members
  • Lead, attend and contribute to meetings as necessary
  • Deputise for colleagues as necessary
  • Operate within the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Produce reports, costings, and statistics as required
  • Participate in networking events as required
  • Project a positive image of oneself and the Company to others
  • Ensure effective self-management and organisation in order to meet all deadlines
  • Ensure the maintenance of effective communications across the Company
  • Ensure and maintain a strong internal and external customer service focus
  • Actively participate in CPD

ESSENTIAL;

  • Qualified to RIBA Part 1 or Part 2
  • Previous work in an architectural practice
  • Ability to learn RRA software, MS Office programs and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of CAD, preferably Vectorworks
  • Knowledge of Sketchup
  • Good design skills
  • Good Organisational skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written Technical English
  • Local to West London or West End
  • Access to car preferred but not essential
