Position – RIBA Part 3 Architect Health Care/Hospital projects

Job Purpose

To take a senior role within a project team to deliver the agreed business and project targets to the local office and the business.

Relationships

Builds and maintains excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients, consultants, contractors, third parties and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

+ Administer a contract, prepare tender bids and submissions, calculate project costs and prepare a fee schedule and effectively manage the finances of a project
+ Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
+ Attend site regularly to monitor progress
+ Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)
+ Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists, negotiate with clients, disseminate information to team members, negotiate with statutory bodies and present a case to a committee and to work and co-ordinate with colleagues
+ Manage a project team including their recruitment, performance management and development
+ Mentor and support newly qualified Architects
+ Prepare detailed design drawings from which costings are made, working drawings and schedules and specifications, using 2D, 3D Autodesk and 3D rendering packages
+ Prepare Health and Safety Risk assessments and carry out measured surveys
+ Prepare tender bids, submissions and planning applications and presentations
+ Provide general advice and guidance to clients, understand client needs and deal with client enquiries efficiently and effectively
+ Source technical information
+ Take a brief and develop into a concept design, with only limited intervention of a manager, for presentation to clients
+ Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project
+ Work to QA procedures

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience

+ Recognised architectural degree or equivalent, Part III qualification and current registration with the Architects’ Registration Board
