This successful and monster joint venture are urgently seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect to join them for an intial 6 month FTC stint in Manchester to help with the later stages of an ongoing, high-profile project.

Most work is outsourced from the public sector and so experience in this sector may help? However, your presence would enable us to continue to build on our success and also bring new experience, knowledge, and ideas into the team!

The Role
The team currently has a significant workload of extremely varied projects including, Heritage Lottery Funded projects, rural cycleways, high-quality public realm, highway corridor studies, education, and environmental improvement projects. The role of the team is to deliver projects from concept design through to construction which will provide the successful candidate excellent experience in all aspects of a landscape architects role. You would be part of a friendly and highly motivated team with a wealth of experience.
Key Criteria
* Chartered member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) - 2years minimum
* Understanding and demonstration of varied landscape designs
* Proven ability in the implementation and administration of projects
* Good AutoCAD & Adobe Creative Suite Skills
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
* Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
* Demonstrate enthusiasm and motivation and a willingness to learn
* Good organisational skills

Your duties....
* Production of feasibility studies and concept designs
* Masterplanning
* Supporting on LVIA’s
* Liaising with clients and other professionals to determine a clear brief and budget provision
* The design and supervision of landscape schemes, either in the capacity as Lead Discipline, or working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  All in accordance with Urban Vision’s Quality Assurance Procedures and all other relevant procedures and legislation.
* Carrying out public consultations on landscape schemes.
* Carrying out all necessary consultations to ensure that the schemes produced meet with approval.
* Preparation of reports and display material for clients.
* Preparation of all necessary contract documentation and specifications for approval and implementation of the schemes.
* To represent the Landscape & Urban Design Group at meetings in connection with the post holder’s work.
* Obtaining tenders for schemes in accordance with recognised procedures.
* The administration of landscape contracts and supervision of landscape works on site through to final settlement and audit.

* Monitoring one&rsquo's own work programme and fee expenditure.
* Ensuring that projects are carried out in accordance with the programmed timescales.
* Keeping senior colleagues informed of progress including forecasts and expenditure.
